Seminar 12
Library Digital Resources and Technologies
Presented by Mr Ali Abdullah, Mr Fadl Musa & Ms Mary Kay Rathke (Library Deanship)
After a move to an all e-Journal collection, e-books represent the second stage in the evolution of digital resources at the UAEU libraries, offering many possibilities as their functional capabilities are continually rising. In a rapidly developing mobile environment, e-books are changing the concept of the book and the way users engage with information. The UAEU librarians will talk about new options for content acquisition and access, and about changes that are laying the foundation for a potentially drastic shift in the ever-evolving relationship between libraries, resources, and their patrons.
